This is the best DIY fabric softener recipe if you want to save money when doing your laundry, or if you want to customize your laundry’s scent.
It also helps those who may be allergic to some of the ingredients in conventional fabric softeners or if you want to avoid chemicals that may be added to the store bought liquid softeners.

Supplies For Your DIY Fabric Softener Recipe
You will need:
1/4 cup of baking soda (optional)
4 cups of white vinegar
1 cup of hot water
lavender or lemon essential oil (or your favourite scent)
storage container with seal-able lid

How To Make Your Homemade Fabric Softener
Directions:
Place your baking soda in a mixing bowl.
Add the vinegar to the baking soda slowly, it will bubble if added to fast!
Add your hot water and be sure to mix well until all the baking soda dissolves.
Add 15-20 drops of your favorite essential oil (the more you add the stronger the scent will be).
Store your homemade fabric softener in a container with a seal-able lid.
Shake well before each use.

Add your DIY homemade laundry liquid fabric softener to the ‘fabric softener’ compartment of your washing machine for each load.
