The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends cleaning surfaces that are visibly dirty first with detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection, and wearing disposable gloves.
CDC says, an easy way to disinfect hard, non-porous surfaces with a product you probably already have at home is to mix 1/3 cup of regular chlorine bleach per gallon of water.
Clorox recommends using 1/2 cup bleach per 1/2 gallon.
